Hey me too, I love this episode – I’m a bloke but I don’t mind admitting this moves me to tears every time I see it
It is touching, if you are a fan and know Picard’s history, as well as the Inner light episode. It also, to me, made this episode believable. Picard, was always hands-off the crew, married to his ship and his command. The connection they made with his music/lost family, gave the relationship incredible connection/depth in a just a few minutes of a scene.
As do I! I had high hopes for the Star Trek CD I got specifically for this episode only to be very disappointed. THIS version is the best. The flute alone, is hollow and haunting, but this is perfect.
This version sounds like something from “Titanic”.
That’s because of the whistle.
